Pauline is a monologue (in Dutch) based on the story of a refugee who arrived in Brussels after a very long and trying journey.
Sarah Baur met Pauline at the request of Médecins du Monde / Dokters van de Wereld in Belgium and wrote a text based on her testimony.
Pauline and Sarah then collaborated on the creation of paper cut stop motion films to accompany the monologue.
This resulted in a performance of half an hour: a good starting point for discussions, debates or interactive lectures.
Originally Dutch spoken, but later in 2020 there will also be a version in French.
performance dates:
22/2/19: Festival Bewogen, GC De Markten, Brussels (Try Out Text)
13/2/20: Festival Bewogen, GC Elzenhof, Ixelles, première
30/3/20: performance for secundary schoolchildren of KA Tervuren, Tour & Taxis, Brussels
04/4/20: Choux-Fest, Vaartkapoen, Molenbeek

Alles Normaal is the first single from Europeana by Jaune Toujours. This song (in Dutch) is about how we all look the other way, pretend that nothing is wrong, while the world is burning.
Sarah made this music video in March 2018 with footage of the live recording for the album at Magasin 4 and she also filmed Piet in the iconic Maximilian Park in Brussels.
